I have been Head of RE, Pastoral Lead and Head of PSHE & Citizenship in my 19 year teaching career. I am currently Head of PSHE & Citizenship at a large secondary school 11-18. My shop includes: PSHE and Citizenship sessions, Assemblies, Tutor Time activities SMSC, Fundamental British Values and Religious Education. They are fully resourced RE or Citizenship lessons, worksheets or 15 minute assemblies/tutor time PSHE sessions suitable for 11-18 and some can also be used for younger audiences.

This is a PowerPoint with different moral questions to make students think. For example, “if you borrow a million pounds are you a millionaire?”, “Can you get lost if you don’t know where you are going.” These are great discussion questions for assemblies, debates or citizenship/PSHE/SMSC provision. They will improve communication skills in tutor time sessions or as starters to lessons. They are appropriate for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (11-18 years old).

This was originally a 60 minute Year 10 lesson to introduce the world of work and preparing for job interviews. It covers body language, dress, how to give a good impression at an interview, body language and some suggested careers. There is a worksheet to accompany it with this lesson but it can be used without it. This lesson is suitable for older KS3-KS4 pupils (13-18 years old) and as part of their PSHE, Careers or Work Experience session in a tutor time. It can be easily shortened or lengthened and has worked well with my students.

It covers definitions, the consequences of body shaming, the feelings it involves, statistics and discussion activities about who is guilty of body shaming and what can be done about it. This does not contain any written activities but could easily be lengthened to last a whole lesson. There are three short downloaded video clips that will never disappear. This session fits into the new RSHE curriculum and the PSHE curriculum and is suitable for KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13 but more suitable for KS3 and KS4 for an assembly or tutor time session.

This is a 10-15 minute assembly that focuses on the issue of stereotyping. It was originally a Year 7 (Ages 11-12) tutor time PSHE session but it is suitable for an assembly for KS3-KS5 (Years 7-13, Ages 11-18). It has some discussion activities and some downloaded videos that will never disappear! It could easily be lengthened to a whole PSHE lesson if needed. This is a 10-20 minute assembly about World AIDS day on 1st December suitable for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13). It focuses on the campaign of 2021 but can easily be adapted for other years. It is fully narrated and this can simply be changed by deleting the icon on each slide if you would prefer it without narration. This PowerPoint includes a brief look at: What HIV & AIDs are Treatments and symptoms How someone could catch HIV History of HIV in the UK The need to eradicate HIV and how close we are to doing that How to protect ourselves Stigma & how you can’t catch it The importance and history of the Red Ribbon Why WAD is so important What can students do to raise awareness on WAD Links for further information and support 4 downloaded short videos that will never disappear (2 as part of the assembly and 2 as extensions). This is a 10-20 minute assembly about time management and how students can manage their time when they are at home. It was originally a Year 10 tutor time PSHE session but is suitable for a whole school assembly or session for KS3, KS4 & KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13). It includes some brilliant tips for students to organise their time when they are not in school. It also includes important definitions and examples of the best study techniques so their time is managed effectively. It contains some discussion activities and a plenary task discussing a variety of quotes about time management. It could easily be lengthened with a timetable planning activity if you needed it to last a whole lesson. This session has two short downloaded video clips that will never disappear. It fits into the mental health, key skills, PSHE and core tutor time programmes across secondary school. Students reacted very positively to this presentation and they said it had helped them with managing their time effectively for revision.

This is suitable for upper KS3-KS5 (Years 9-13, Ages 13-18) and fits well into the new RSE & Health curriculum, the PSHE & Citizenship curriculum as well as the Keeping children Safe in Education Safesguarding document. It contains: What ketamine is The dangers and risks of the drug Discussion about the class of the drug A short video clip about how ketamine can affect you A short video clip with a case study about addiction and the consequences of taking the drug There are no written activities in this session only discussion tasks but it could easily be lengthened to last a whole lesson. The video clips are both downloaded so they will never disappear! This session was received well by the students and covers an important part of modern day drug education.

This is a 60-90 minute lesson on Social Action by taking a detailed look at the Birmingham Pub Bombings in 1974 and the Birmingham Six who were unlawfully imprisoned. This was originally a Year 10 Citizenship lesson but is suitable for upper KS3 - KS5 (Ages 14-18, Years 9-13) and could be part of the Religious Education, PSHE or Citizenship curriculum. It is also relevant to the law, British Values and SMSC provision. This is a powerpoint that lasts 15 minutes which can be used from KS2 to KS5 to go through the important topic of Fake News with students. It involves no writing, just discussion questions and videos to give the students a snapshot of fake news in tutor time or a short session. Fake news is part of the new Relationships & Sex Education& Health Education curriculum and also includes a plenary quiz at the end. The videos are downloaded and there are no writing tasks. This can be used for a tutor time session, a PSHE or Citizenship lesson or as a whole school assembly.

This was a PSHE session for tutor time for KS3-5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) which is 10- 15 minutes long and contains videos, discussions and important messages for students about different religious and cultural practices and diversity. This could be used as part of the diversity element of the PSHE and Citizenship programme or could be used as an assembly. The students responded well to this session. There are no written activities and it includes a quiz to check learning and two downloaded videos that will never disappear. One video is about religious festivals and the other about non-religious festivals. This session could easily be lengthened to create a whole lesson for RE on the importance of festivals.
